WWW Wednesday

Hello bookish friends!

I hope you’re all enjoying what’s left of this summer! I don’t know about you all but I am so ready for the fall, it’s my favorite time of year. Life as been a little chaotic at the moment since I’m going through the very exciting yet exhausting process of moving. Hopefully it will all be over soon and I can go back to my normal reading schedule! I figured a WWW Wednesday is long over due and it’s always just nice to catch up with everyone on what’s going on in my reading life lately (not that it’s been very existent 🙃), but you get the point.

Let’s dive in!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @Taking On A World Of Words, the rules are simple you just have to answer these three questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading

  • I’m currently reading Sadie and LOVING IT! I don’t want to say too much about it just yet because I’m only about halfway through but I will have a review up before release date for a blog tour with Wednesday Books which I am super excited about. But this will be out September 4th and if it’s not already on your TBR’s it definitely should be!
  • I also FINALLY  got around to picking up Scythe which I was low-key very nervous about because…well…I don’t really like the covers. And I’m totally in the habit of judging a book by it’s cover which I know is bad but I just can’t help it. My eyes love a good book cover. I will say though, I am pleasantly surprised by this so far.

What have a recently finished?

  • Or should we say, what book am I still mourning? Because ladies and gents, Bright We Burn is still wreaking havoc on my soul. My heart still aches for this book. I’m just not the same person now that I’ve finished this trilogy. If you missed my review for it, you can check it out HERE.
  • City of Ghosts is the book I just finished reading and it’s safe to say this book was a BLAST. Previously, I had read Victoria Schwab’s Monsters of Verity duology and was not a fan. However, a book about ghost hunting in creepy old cities was sure to catch my attention. I can happily say that I’ve already read one of my most anticipated reads of the second half of 2018 and it was everything I hoped for. If you missed my review for City of Ghosts you can check it out HERE.

What will I read next?

  • I am dying to continue Lara Jean’s story in P.S. I Still Love You. Not to mention we are only TWO days away from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before coming to Netflix! *screams* Who else is excited?! I’ve been watching the trailer on repeat because I am so excited to see this story brought to life. If you haven’t read TATBILB you can check out my review HERE.
  • *ducks flying tomatoes* I KNOW, OKAY?! To say I’m extremely behind on what’s going on in this Shadowhunter world is an understatement, but at least I finished The Mortal Instrument series, right? That has to count for something. I told myself I would like to be at least starting The Dark Artificies when Queen of Air and Darkness comes out so I won’t feel as bad. Fingers crossed I can get through The Infernal Devices by then!

That’s all for today!

Until next time!

  1. Oh I love The Infernal Devices Series! 😍 And dont worry about being late on some books. Hehe. I myself am behind some trends. I’ve never read To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. I just can’t find it in me to start the book, yet.

    1. Sometimes being late is great because then when you love it the fandom welcomes you with open arms 😂 I’m super excited for TID! I wasn’t really a fan of Jace & Clary but I LOVED Emma so I knew I needed to read TDA but I need to read all the other books so I can say I know everything that ever happened haha!

  2. You are doing better than me with the shadow hunter world! I own all the books, but haven’t even read any of the mortal instruments series yet. Be interesting to know what you think of scythe, as I’ve been putting it off for a while now as well.xx

    1. AHHH I read TMI soooo long ago but I wasn’t the biggest fan of Jace & Clary so I put off the other books for so long haha!

The concept of Scythe is so original and interesting that it’s really holding my attention, but I’m a little over 50% and I feel like things are only starting to pick up now. Hopefully it’ll keep the momentum going haha!

      1. If you think the concept is something that would interest you I would tell you to totally go for it! I hate slow books but this concept just makes it almost impossible to put down 🙂

  3. Omg I felt the same way about Scythe! My husband actually bought it for himself and it’s he ONLY book he’s ever read and he said it was good so I gave it a go! I hope you enjoyed it

    1. I’m still reading it haha! I’m about 60% through and it’s actually picking up now so I’m really happy about that. I’ve just been so busy with moving that I haven’t had a second to sit down and finish it, hopefully this weekend!
