Blogmas: November 2018 Wrap Up

Hello bookish friends! ⛄️

Today I’m going to be doing my November wrap up! I read 6 books this month and also fell into the biggest book slump of my life. Thank you, Kingdom of Ash. November turned out to be a month with some of my lowest ratings and I’m kind of bummed about it. Here’s to hoping December will end the year with a bang!

What I read this month

Sea Witch by Sarah Henning – ★★
Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian – ★★★
Waypoint by Deborah Adams & Kimberley Perkins – ★★★★
Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J Maas – ★★
Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas – ★★★★.5
The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert – ★.5

The rest will be up soon!

This was such an epic conclusion to the series I’ve grown to love. I’ve been struggling finding the adequate words to convey how much I loved this but also how many issues I had with it. Either way I still enjoyed my time with this group of characters and will miss them forever.

This was just too strange for me. The pacing was all over the place and somehow I liked the book during it’s slower pace than whatever the hell happened at the end. I probably would have DNF’ed this if it wasn’t for listening to the audiobook.

That’s all for today!

Until next time,

  1. I’m currently reading the ACOTAR series but afterwards I’m going to start Throne of Glass and I can’t wait to finally be immersed in its world. Hearing how much you loved Kingdom of Ash makes me so excited to start! I hope you get out of your reading slump and that you enjoy your December reads much more 🙂

  2. Lovely wrap up! I also was super underwhelmed by the Hazel Wood. I nearly DNF’d it so many times! And I’m so happy that you loved Kingdom of Ash too! Definitely my favorite read of November as well! ❤

    1. Thank you!! Sorry to hear you didn’t like The Hazel Wood either, since I’ve read it it seems I’m seeing a lot more negative reviews for it 🤷🏻‍♀️
