Blogmas – Christmas Characters Tag

Hello bookish friends! ❤️🎄

I was tagged by my twinny Amanda over at Classy x Book Reviews to do this super fun Christmas Characters book tag that was created by Anthony from Keep Reading Forward.

Here are the rules

  • Answer all prompts.
  • Answer honestly.
  • Tag 1-12 people.
  • Link back to this post.
  • Remember to credit the creator. (Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward)
  • Have fun!

Also can we talk about how freaking the graphic is that Anthony made for this tag?!?!

Let’s dive in!

Santa Clause
A Gift You Received or Want This Year

When it comes to presents my family knows the deal…giftcards are always the way to go. I actually really don’t like opening presents at all because I hate people watching my reaction to things, so give me some gift cards and cash and ya girl is GOOD!

However, I did receive some amazing books from my bookish fam this year. A big thank you to everyone, because besides gift cards & cash, books are the way to my heart.

Mrs. Clause
A Favorite Holiday Treat to Have Every Year

This is so basic it hurts, but a Caramel Brûlée latte from Starbz. I don’t really like cake and cookies, give me all the carbs and pasta though. However, once the Christmas drinks are out at Starbucks I always need to treat myself to at least ten or so 😂 #noselfcontrol

Ghost of Christmas Past
A Holiday Memory from Your Past

My favorite memory is actually the year I found out Santa wasn’t real. It’s actually a pretty funny story that my family still laughs at years later. Two things you should know about me, I’m overly curious and I hate surprises. Every year I used to make my dad show me all of the presents him and my mom bought my sister for Christmas, because then it would give me an idea of what I might be getting. I’m the worst I know. Somehow, my dad always went along with it and showed me. That specific year he showed me one of the Barbie dolls he got my sister, and on Christmas morning my sister proudly raised that Barbie in the air and yelled “LOOK WHAT SANTA GOT ME!” I sat there in disbelief saying “You mean Dad? Dad, she means you right?” The look on his face gave it all away. So, that’s how my nosey ass ruined Christmas.

Buddy the Elf
A Holiday Song You like to Sing Each Holiday Season

Christmas Eve/Sarajevo by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra because it is legitimately a Christmas song that you can headbang to. Also, it has no words but you’re absolutely wrong if you don’t think I belt out those guitar solos.

Misfit Toys
An Unpopular Toy You Really Wanted to Get One Year

I’m going to go with the same answer that Amanda used and say books haha!

A Moment When Your Heart Grew Three Sizes

Most recently my niece just started talking, but she can’t say my name so she calls me Lala and I swear to God every time calls me that my heart absolutely melts. The first time I heard her say it I legitimately had tears in my eyes.

Jack Frost
A Tradition You Like to Do Every Winter

My husband and I started a tradition three years ago when we first got married to go out and pick out a real Christmas wreath for the house together. Every year we drive up to this little farm where they make the wreaths and walk through the rows of them picking one out and then go inside and grab cider donuts and potato pancakes afterwards.

Hero Boy
A Moment You Believed in a Holiday Wish/Miracle

Honestly, I don’t think that’s ever happened. At least not that I’m aware of 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cindy Lou Who
A Favorite Holiday Tradition

See my answer about my husband and I picking out a wreath, as simple as it is it’s my favorite thing to do.

Frosty the Snowman
A Memory Involving Snow or A Memory You Would Like to Have Involving Snow

One year we had a horrible blizzard here in Jersey and my dad used all the snow from our driveway to make this giant hill and ramp for my sister and friends to go sledding down and then and launch ourselves off of. It was the best time and also a miracle that no one broke any bones.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
A Holiday Activity You Like Doing

My town has this MASSIVE Christmas parade every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I live in a teeny tiny town that’s only a mile long, so the town literally shuts down for the day as the hundreds of firetrucks, ambulances, etc., line up for the parade that night. It’s also just kind of a free-for-all that night in the town because they throw a massive party afterwards. It’s just a known fact, if you’re from the town I grew up in – you never miss that parade no matter how many times you’ve seen it.

Ebenezer Scrooge
A Favorite Holiday Saying or Quote

Definitely going with “Bah Humbug” because it’s just my 24/7 mood.

  1. This is such a cute tag! Love it ❤ and I love the Christmas tradition you have. Every year there's a family in my village that sells homemade wreathes and it's always so lovely to go and get one… it's the start of the festive season for me!
