What’s up bookish friends? ✨
I haven’t done just a fun random tag is so long and I’ve been wanting to change it up from just reviews & WWW Wednesday posts on my blog. So today we are going to be talking about two of my favorite things ever….coffee and books.
Yes, I’m sipping my iced coffee while doing this.
Yes, this is my third of the day.
Yes, my eyelids are twitching.
I wasn’t able to find who originally created this tag, but whoever you are props to you! Thank you to Umairah over at Sereadipity for tagging me in this!
Without further ado, let’s pump up those caffeinated vibes and dive in!
BLACK: NAME A SERIES THAT’S TOUGH TO GET INTO BUT HAS HARDCORE FANS.
First up, is Strange the Dreamer. It feels like everyone and their mother loves this book…. but not me. Some of y’all will go down swinging for this book and I appreciate your enthusiasm but I’ll pass.
PEPPERMINT MOCHA: NAME A BOOK THAT GETS MORE POPULAR DURING THE WINTER OR A FESTIVE TIME OF YEAR.
Harry Potter always seems to come back during the winter or Christmas time. There’s nothing like cozying up with your favorite book during the holidays. For me though, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is always a book I associate with September and going back to school, the rest of the series just feels right to read during the winter. Any one else feel this way?
HOT CHOCOLATE: WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CHILDREN’S BOOK?
Who else loved these as a kid? My sister and I used to throw down over who got to read the latest book in our collection first. Unfortunately, I always had to wait for her to finish reading them #littlesisterprobz
DOUBLE SHOT OF ESPRESSO: NAME A BOOK THAT KEPT YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT FROM START TO FINISH.
I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish, then for almost an entire year until I read The Wicked King, and now for another entire year until I read The Queen of Nothing.
STARBUCKS: NAME A BOOK YOU SEE EVERYWHERE.
I feel like everywhere I turn someone is screaming about how amazing The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is.
Have I read it yet though?
Of course not.
THAT HIPSTER COFFEE SHOP: GIVE A BOOK BY AN INDIE AUTHOR A SHOUTOUT
Degrees of Control is my favorite romance from Eve Dangerfield so far. I’ve grown tired of the whole billionaire bad-boy meets shy girl romance, so I was so excited to read a book with an MC who wasn’t afraid of saying what she wanted in and out of the bedroom.
OOPS! I ACCIDENTALLY GOT DECAF: NAME A BOOK YOU WERE EXPECTING MORE FROM.
Y’all I am still so bitter about the time I wasted on this book.
Plain and simple.
THE PERFECT BLEND: NAME A BOOK OR SERIES THAT WAS BOTH BITTER AND SWEET, BUT ULTIMATELY SATISFYING.
This epic conclusion evoked a lot of emotions from me and broke my heart into a million pieces, but, God, was it satisfying.
I couldn’t imagine it ending any other way, even though I still want to cry.
GREEN TEA: NAME A BOOK OR SERIES THAT IS QUIETLY BEAUTIFUL.
It Ends With Us is not only one of my all time favorite books, but such a powerful story with one the most beautiful heart-wrenching endings. It’s one of those books were the last words explain the title and UGH, it hurts so good.
CHAI TEA: NAME A BOOK OR SERIES THAT MAKES YOU DREAM OF FAR OFF PLACES.
Wintersong was such a dreamy read for me. I’m obsessed with the world and the characters S. Jae Jones created and still find myself thinking of this book all the time!
EARL GREY: NAME YOUR FAVOURITE CLASSIC.
I haven’t read too many classics but Frankenstein has always been my favorite!
If you’re a coffee or tea drinker consider yourself tagged! 😉
That’s all for today!
Until next time,
