Hello May! 🌸
Another month in 2019 has come and gone, so y’all already know the drill. It’s time to talk about all the books that I read in April! April was quite possibly my worst reading month for the year. I failed my Magical Readathon and read 5 books. However, I did manage to binge watch seven seasons of Game of Thrones in three weeks to catch up to the current season so that’s where a lot of my time went. Now that I’m all caught up here’s to hoping May is a better reading month!
Let’s dive in!
What I read in April
Ruined by Amy Tintera – ★★★
Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston- ★★★★★
Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson – ★★★★
The Devouring Gray by Christine Lynn Herman – ★★★★
Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid – ★★★★.5

Review: Daisy Jones & The Six
TL;DR
Don’t feel like reading a review?
Here’s my thoughts on each book in one sentence!
- Ruined – Just another fantasy book you’ve read a thousand times.
- Red, White & Royal Blue – Soft boys who will make your heart explode.
- Sorcery of Thorns – Evil books with a side of snarky boys.
- The Devouring Gray – Save it for Halloween.
- Daisy Jones & The Six – Lots of drugs, sex, and rock n roll.
Favorite Read of the Month
I’ll never stop loving this book.
Least Favorite Read of the Month
Filthy Rich Boys is a book I DNF’ed this month. I only made it five chapters before legitimately wanting to stick a fork in my eyes. I wrote a little review for all the reasons this one just didn’t work for me on Goodreads.
You can check it out HERE.
And that’s a wrap on my April reads!
Until next time,
I had to step away from Filthy Rich Boys myself. I sat on whether or not I would DNF it for about 3 days when I finally decided I would try a different mindset. I went into it thinking it was going to be more of the hate to love romance and it was like culture shock going in. I could not wrap my head around it. After about 3 days I decided to pretend the characters were actors from the show “Gossip Girl” and after that I made it through to the end. I don’t know that I want to continue the story though because honestly if heads aren’t going to be rolling I’m not interested after what those “Idols” pulled it was disgusting.

7 seasons in three weeks?!?! That is impressive! My husband and I did that with American Horror Story last summer haha. I looooved RWRB so much! Just got an arc of Sorcery of Thorns, I’m excited to try it- the cover is gorgeous.
