Blogtober: Book Tag | Are You Ready for Sweater Weather?

Hello, witches! Β πŸŽƒΒ πŸ‘»Β πŸ‚Β βœ¨

I saw this book tag over on Amanda’s blog – Classy X Book Reviews and I immediately knew I had to do this one. Sweater weather? YES PLEASE. Give me all the oversized sweaters, hoodies, and cold weather.

Let’s dive in!

Are You Ready for Sweater Weather Book Tag

I mean DUH πŸ˜‰

1. Hot Chocolate: What is your comfort book?

99561

I don’t think this one should come as a surprise. Looking for Alaska is a heavy book that I read when someone close to me died. The premise of the book helped me cope with losing that person in a very similar way and I always go back to this book when I’m having a particularly hard time.

2. Pumpkin Carving: What is your favorite creative outlet?

Definitely writing. I’ve always loved writing and it definitely helps me blow off some steam when I’m feeling extra emotional since I tend to bottle things up. I wish I was a little more creative so I could write a book, but that’s probably pushing it haha!

3. Falling Leaves: Changes that appear bad but you secretly love?

100% autumn turning into winter. There is nothing that I love more than these two seasons. Everyone dreads winter but me? Bring on the cold! I’m here for it.

4. Pumpkin Spiced Latte: Something you love that others tend to judge?

Definitely reading, especially when I tell people I plan on reading 100 books this year πŸ˜‚. No shame though, book are my happy place…clearly!

5. Bonfire Night: What makes you explode with joy?

Lately? My Peloton bike. Now that I’ve been cleared to workout again I have been obsessed with hopping on there for intense workouts. Hello, endorphins. Working out has not only been helping me physically but even more so mentally and I’m so glad that I’m able to be back at it.

6. Fright Night: Favorite scary film or book?

36339614

I wouldn’t particularly say Sawkill Girls was scary, definitely creepy though! It’s my favorite book I’ve read that I would recommend for spooky season. My favorite scary movie is the original Pet Sematary, and I may or may not still be terrified of Zelda.

7. Halloween Candy: Favorite thing to eat?

Sooooo here’s the thing…I really don’t like candy and I absolutely HATE chocolate *hides in shame*. If I had to pick something though it would probably either be strawberry Nerds or sour Sweet-tarts.

8. Scarves: Your must-have accessory?

I am a sucker for designer bags, clutches, and wallets. Which means I can’t leave the house without one of them. Plus, my rings too, I can’t forget those.

9. Fire: A book or film that burns your soul?

40024139

Most recently Serpent & Dove. This book fueled my soul in every possible way. From the witches, to the slow burn romance, to the enemies to lovers. It gave me all the feels and I need the next book STAT.

10. Toffee Apples: A book or film that seems one thing but really has a different inside?

41957126

This is not your typical CoHo book AT ALL. Jumping into this one I thought it was going to be just another book by one of my favorite authors but nope. This is dark, sick, twisted, and like nothing I ever expected from Colleen. Naturally, I’m here for it and I hope she chooses to write more books like this in the future!

You’re it!

Stay spooky,
