Hello, bookish friends! 💐
You mean to tell me another month has come and gone? It feels like I was just writing my March wrap up and now we’re already in May! Despite how weird of a time it’s been I think we can all agree that the last month absolutely flew by. During the month of April I was able to read seven books. Not my best or my worst so I’ll definitely take it. Plus, I’m pretty sure I FINALLY beat my reading slump that’s been lingering since February so cheers to that!
Let’s dive in to all the books I read during April!
What I read in April
The Lucky Ones by Liz Lawson – ★★★★
My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell – ★★★
Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare – ★★★★
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson – ★★★★
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas – ★★★★

Don’t feel like reading a review?
Here’s my thoughts on each book in one sentence!
- The Lucky Ones – Trauma, grief, and coping with a side of hope.
- My Dark Vanessa – An extremely dark, uncomfortable, but important read.
- Clockwork Prince – I have nothing but love and a lot of stress for my babies.
- A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder – A plot twist I never saw coming.
- A Court of Thorns and Roses – I….didn’t hate Tamlin?
- Imagine Me – Literal garbage.
- A Whole New Me – Coming of age love story with some steamy af scenes.
Favorite Read of the Month
Rereading this went better than I expected since I was able to pick up on all of the little details that come to life in book two. Originally I was only planning on rereading the first book but after finishing this I will absolutely be picking up the second book again!
*cue the ugly tears*
Least Favorite Read of the Month
This was…terrible. Like, I can’t believe this is an actual book let alone the conclusion to a six book series. The plot was a mess, the characters felt off, and I was left with so many questions – possibly even more questions than I started with. I’m definitely standing with the majority of people who say this should have stayed a trilogy.
Until next time,
