The Stuck at Home Book Tag

Hello, bookish friends!✨

I hope you’re all staying safe and as occupied as you can during these weird times! Today I figured I would do the “Stuck at Home” book tag that’s been floating around on here since I haven’t been posting too much lately. But I promise it’s because I’m working on some bigger posts that require reading multiple books for each post and they’ll be coming your way soon! 😉

Let’s dive right in!

The Stuck at Home Book Tag rules…

1. What are you currently reading?

I cannot even being to tell you guys how excited I was to receive an e-ARC of Blood & Honey! I’m so happy to back in this world and back with some of my favorite characters. Not gonna lie though, I am terrified to find out who lives and who dies in this one.

2. What’s your favorite “can’t leave the house” activity?

Aside from reading I’m going to have to go with working out. I’m totally addicted to Peloton and super grateful for my bike, treadmill, and weight set so I can still go about staying active while being stuck at home. If I’m not working out chances are I’m outside reading and tanning on my deck now that the nice weather is here!

3. A book you’ve been meaning to read for forever:

The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy, #3)

Despite reading books one and two about five years ago and then just not getting around to picking this one up… I still really want to finish the All Souls Trilogy. Thank god for online recaps, am I right? Realistically, I would like to cross this book off my TBR before the end of the year and see how Matthew and Diana’s story comes to an end.

4. An intimidating book on your TBR:

29774026. sy475

I think most people can agree that the sheer size of this book is one of the biggest reasons why it’s so intimidating. But I will read it and get through it one day (hopefully soon) if it’s the last thing I do!

5. Top 3 priority books on your TBR:

Chain of Gold – Cassandra Clare
Kingsbane – Claire Legrand
This Coven Won’t Break – Isabel Sterling

I REFUSE to have any of these books spoiled for me!

6. Recommend a short book:

35403058. sy475

As I’m looking through my Goodreads shelves I’ve come to realize I really haven’t read that many short books…so let’s stick with one under 300 pages? City of Ghosts is a quick read, perfect for that fall that’s equal parts entertaining, spooky, and super atmospheric.

7. Recommend a long book:

32603079. sy475

Wanderers comes in at just around 800 pages and is truly a wild from start to finish. And while I do totally recommend this book I would say that now particularly may not be the best time to read it since it is about a epidemic and the effects it has on the world.

8. Something you’d love to do while stuck at home:

I would love to be able to get some bigger projects around the house done, like finishing converting our basement into a gym/library. But some of the things we need to do are a little harder to take on by myself since my husband is still working. One day we’ll get there!

9. What do you plan on reading next?

Now that I’m done with the Infernal Devices I can FINALLY pick up Chain of Gold. Knowing this is about the children of some of my favorite characters from TID already has me emotional so I can’t even imagine what I’ll be like once I start reading.

Tag…you’re it!

If this sounds like a tag you’re interested in and it can help kill some time while we’re all stuck inside then consider yourself tagged!

Until next time,

  1. The length of priory is definitely intimidating hahah!
    Enjoy your reading 🙂

  2. Omg your reading Blood and Honey right now!! I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy! And yess I’m so scared the author is going to toy w my characters precious lives in this one 😱😱 such a fun tag!

  3. Ahhh I’m so jealous of your e-ARC of BLOOD & HONEY! When you’re done it, *please* post your review. I have The Infernal Devices on my TBR, but I haven’t read The Mortal Instruments (*gasp*), I know! Do you recommend TIM before TID, or does it matter?? 🙂

    1. I definitely will!! I honestly don’t think it matters because both series do a good job of building the whole Shadowhunter world but I think having read TMI before TID made me appreciate TID even more!
